Some little things to share…

Charcuterie LA started in 2020, out of a small hourly commercial kitchen in Van Nuys, in the middle of the pandemic. What began as something simple grew into what it is today — a space where food, aesthetics, and hospitality come together in a very personal way.

At the heart of it is Lala, the creator behind every table. She was born and raised in Kabardino-Balkaria, a small republic in Southern Russia, where food was never just food — it was care, effort, and connection. Growing up, her family relied on a small garden, where they grew apples, carrots, radishes, and other fruits and vegetables with a deep understanding that quality comes from how something is grown and handled.

Lala comes from Circassian (Cherkess) roots — a culture known for its strong sense of hospitality, generosity, and respect for the guest. In that tradition, the table is everything. It’s where people gather, where they are welcomed, and where they are taken care of without question. That mindset lives in everything we create.

Today, we carry that same approach into our work. We maintain high standards when it comes to both product and presentation. We work closely with farmers and producers, and we care deeply about where our ingredients come from. This isn’t just sourcing — it’s relationships.

Lala also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science, which shapes the way we think about food — not just how it looks, but how it feels, how it’s balanced, and how it’s meant to be enjoyed.

If you’d like to experience this approach in person, we welcome you to our artisanal cheese and charcuterie shop in the heart of Sherman Oaks, where you’ll find everything from cheeses and charcuterie to snacks, artisanal chocolates, pickles, pottery, and more.
